A bit tired and frustrated:)
4 July, 2010
I am done with the tournament, I had an early start this morning. I am hitting the ball fairly well but my putting is still not where I want it to be. Of course, some shots are not as good as I want them either but my rounds are really determined by my putting. I just need to become more confident in my putting. I know that I have putted good in the past and I know that once I get on a roll there is nothing that can stop me.
This week my patience was not anything to brag about. Maybe it is a combination of that I am getting just a bit tired as well as the fact that I am playing so much better now but not able to tie it all together. I really thought that I was on the right track after shooting the 65 a few weeks ago, and I am but not been able to have a really good go at it since then.
Well I will call my coach this afternoon and have a little chat with him. After the last talk my putting actually seemed some much better but I was not able to convert in into anything good on the course.
Even though I am not putting the way I want right now I know that next weeks greens will help me get the feeling back. I have always putted the best on really fast greens and I am hoping to get it going there!
This afternoon we are going to pack all our stuff together (and there is a lot of stuff!!!). I have about 15 pairs of golf shoes, but I will throw some of the smelly (!) ones out before we get on the road. For those of you who follow my blog you know that I got lots of new shoes this week and it is so nice to finally wear clean and non smelly shoes!
Gustaf did such a good job this week. It can be even more frustrating for him to watch me play well but not being able to convert into good scores. I have told him what I need from him and even though he might not always agree, he is very accommodating and I really appreciate his work this week!
So today we had this man following our group, and I thought it was my playing partners friend. Not until after the round did I realize he was actually following me! He had asked one of the rules official of who she recommended following today, and she said to follow me! So if you, follower (I never got your name) are reading this then I would like to say sorry for slamming the putter in my bag about two times today, I know it does not look good and I have no excuses for it…but it felt good afterwards!! Maybe next time you follow our group you will see the real Louise who is a happy Swede with a smile on her face!(and hopefully you will see some more birdies too!!)
Now I have to go pack and get ready for the little drive over to oakmont!!! US open here I come!!!
