Leaving Sweden tomorrow:(
11 August, 2010
Today was the last day of our trip to Sweden for this summer. It has truly been one of the best summers here for a long time.
We have had such a good time with friends and family and I am so grateful for all the wonderful people I have around me here at home! Not only have we had some great dinners and games with friends, there had been lots of laughter and memory sharing.
The weather has been beautiful for most of the time, and for some reason, when the sun shines in Sweden everyone comes out of their hibernation and they come out happy. Of course, in the wintertime it is different:) The picture to the right is the view from the 4th teebox on my home golf course where I grew up. It is literally 10 yards from the beach and the island you see in the horizon is Ven (where the astronomer Tycho Brahe had his headquarters back in the day).
One day we headed out on the water with Lunkans boat (Martin in the picture to the right) and we had so much fun! We went fast, lost a few shades on the way (the new ones should be arriving soon Lunkan!) but overall a very successful afternoon on the water!
Ylva and I sat for a long time in the front of the boat talking and just having a good time.
Of course, after a while I started feeling a little sick (I had forgotten to take the pills I take when I fly) but I never told anyone because we had such a good time, when they all said it was time to leave for the restaurant I was more than happy to get the boat moving again. It is so much more easy when it moves than when it is just going slowly with the waves.
Yesterday there was a ladies event and Rya (my home course).
My mom is one of the ladies in charge and she asked me if I could sell shots on one hole. Of course I would do that! So I was on the 4th par3 hole and hit shots over the water for money. All the money we made went to the local hospice center. Thanks to all the ladies who supported it! I did not make a hole in one:( but a few shots we pretty close!
As you can see I have started to figure out the pictures again. I met for coffe at the local library, with my webmaster, who by the way is doing such a good job with my site! Thanks Göran! For those of you who want a quality website made, let me know…I know the man for it!
So now I guess I have to go to bed. We have a long travelling day ahead of us tomorrow. The flight was sold out in all cabins when I called today to ask for an upgrade. By the time we bought the tickets and checked in it was so later that we got completely jacked on seats! Wish us luch trying to figure out, not only how to sit together tomorrow but also how not to get middle seats…guess who is not looking forward to sit on a plane tomorrow! Ah well, could be worse I guess:)
Sweden-see you next time!!
