Not so good day:(

Today was rough…nothing happened really during the round except for on the last hole…and then it was no good. First I hit my driver just a little right and as it hit the ground it took a big jump on something hard. The ball bounced in under a big pine tree (I think that is what it is called…it is a huge christmas tree).
I had no shot and was left with just trying to chip out and get somewhat on to the fairway. I got to the rough and could make a shot from there. The next shot bled a little too much right and ended up in the rough still to the right. I still had a good chance to make up and down for par but oh no, why make it easy like that? I mishit my wedge and the ball ended up short on the green and I was left with a 40 footer for par. I hit my first putt fairly good and had about 4 feet left for bogey. I should have backed off that putt when I heard noise from the 9th green (that is right behind the 18th green) but I went ahead and putted it anyway. And there you have it…how to make a double bogey and hitting all the 7 shots. The good thing is that there is a round left of the tournament and I can still make a good finish and hoping to do that. I am also looking to have more of the ingredient patience tomorrow.
This morning was a beautiful morning and I went out to the porch and took a picture of the view.

Tonight I know there are some 4th of July celebrations around in the area but we will probably just go to dinner somewhere and then watch the fireworks they put on, or listen to them…I have been so tired today, I don’t think I slept very good last night. I woke up a few times hearing the fireworks and that hit me this afternoon. I only practiced for a short while before heading back to the house.
I also got my new iphone today. So exciting! I was due for a new phone, my old one has already broke several times and it is cracked everywhere…it did not have many weeks left to live. Now the new iphone is bought and I will spend the afternoon updating contacts, settings etc…or I will maybe wait until our long drive to Phoenix next Monday:)
Tomorrow will be an early morning again then we will head straight to Oakmont after that. I have an 8+ teetime on Monday morning to play there for the first time so that should be fun!
Now I am ready for some coffee:) I will do decaff this afternoon!
