Oakmont day 2
6 July, 2010
I played 18 today, and the more I play the course, the “less difficult” it gets. I think this is the toughest course I have ever played and patience will be everything this week. Of course, throughout these days people have been talking about what the winning score will be as well as what the cut will be. I think the winning score will somewhere between +4 and +8…but who knows someone might have a magical week with a hot putter and the golf gods on her side and surprise everyone!
The status of Gustafs wallet is that it is still nowhere to be found. To make matters worse, it turns out that his license expired a couple of weeks ago…are you kidding!? So I am not comfortable with driving back all the way to Phoenix with someone who has an expired license and no green card to show so I have today ordered a shipment of the car back to Phoenix. This whole thing just keeps getting better and better isn’t it? So hopefully they will pick up the car tomorrow and it will arrive in Phoenix this weekend;) I think this whole thing is sort of funny…it is an adventure on tour for sure!!
It is actually so much easier to fly back anyway so it is fine by me! Good thing they a have courtesy cars for us this week, of course I have a loaded 450h Lexus, nice!
Have you all gone on to Twitter today to check out the twit pics I have uploaded from the practice round? Since the word press app still does not work for me I have a hard time updating pictures easy on the webpage so make sure you go on Twitter as well as Facebook for the latest pictures;)
This afternoon I was going to pay a visit to a spa that they held open for us, but since I had to be on the phone fixing with all the stuff with the car transport I might just skip it. It is between 4-8 and it is around 5 now and I am not close to being done:) if I decide to go I am hoping for a massage though! My back needs it after all these weeks on the road.
