Staying busy with golf
3 December, 2012
What a wonderful day it was today!!! I was helping out at an event called The Winter Swing, which was played at Arizona Country Club here in Phoenix. The charity that was benefiting from this event this year was, of course Gabriel’s Angels. As many of you know, I have been very involved in this charity organization that just does wonders for neglected and at risk children thru theraphy dogs.
My mission today was to hit drives on a hole for the groups, I hit many many drives today! Wow I am beat:) It was great fun as I got to meet many fun people. Golf is truly such a wonderful sport to connect with people.
Then, there was a putting competition where the winner would win a trip to Germany, and to the Mercedes factory. Myself as well as Pam Wright were helpers in that event, and it was great to see the winner be a Scottish person! Lol…he has had his fair share of Europe trips:) We wish him safe travels, good beer, and lots of fun!!
This week is going to be busy…tomorrow working on my project that is launching Jan 15th called Correlation Golf (more information to come..for now…just a teaser). Wednesday will be spent at a seminar from 10a-2p to then in the evening go to the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce annual dinner event. Last year it was great food and good company, hoping and thinking it will be the same this year! Thursday I will play golf myself!! There is an event put on by the LPGA for current and potential sponsors of the LPGA tournament in March, the RR Donnelly Founders Cup. Scramble format. Should be fun. The last two rounds I have played I actually shot under par ronds with the last one on Friday, so I can still poke it out there pretty good I think:)
I am very excited about Sunday as I will babysit my precious nephew Max. Yay. I vote for movienight and some candy while watching.
Now I am getting ready for some dinner preparation…on the menu tonight: Swedish meatballs (Yes leftovers from the Swedish christmas lunch on Sunday).
